Return to innocence

He found his weary feet again,
Tired but still rooted firm.
Dwindling breathe and drooping eyes
Helpless, yet burning bright
Questioning why he took the leap
Why he went in so deep
Darkness seemed to envelope his soul
And a voice whispered, "Let go"
It was only then that he realised,
And remembered that innocent child
Fire lit up his soul
And pushed away the common lures
His journey was not yet complete
There was a few more monsters left to meet.
The child smiled at him and said,
"God be with you till we meet again"
